Which Key...? by Cevangel Which Key...? by Cevangel
The third in this series

First is called: The Tin Man's Heart [link]

Second is called: When You Wish Upon a Star [link]

Keys are so popular in DA. I actually have to adjust the keys on this one... notice how some look like they had to be twisted to show the front? yeah, I need to add another jump ring to attach the keys.

Materials: Polymer clay, paints, chain and key charms.

This work belongs to me, this photo, this idea and this jewelry. Thank you for not copying or recreating!

Keys are popular on dA, that is true.
However I remember being a little girl, no older then 3 having this wonderful obsession with keys of all sorts.
Now I cant get enough of them<3

The keys I see in dA are definitely inspiring.

That's a pretty cool fascination for a 3yr old. :D

I think I saw keys on cartoons as being magical all the time when I was younger. But I wasn't really interested in them until I thought they look nice in jewelry. :)

Lol, yes they are wonderful.

And IKR!?!

And well I don't know why I always thought they were the most amazing things ever.
I always wanted keys, always, always.
It didn't matter whether they worked or not.
lol!

This is so delicately beautiful. I like the idea of the different keys, and the mystery of which will unlock the little figure. It`s like the conundrum of love. A truely lovely piece.

You are very welcome.

Keys are fun, I think part of the popularity is that they can mean so many things to so many different people. So it gives a persona chance to read more of themself into a piece.

Very true! And they're so easy to use to represent concepts, emotions, virtues/vices... etc.

Though I think the Kingdom Hearts game was definitely a huge influence on its popularity recently. I really liked all those keyblade designs... Haha, but that's definitely another story!

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. :)

I'm not familiar with kingdom hearts actually. Though the term keyblade intrigues me. But who doesn't want to escape or lock themselves (or someone else!) away.
